About the Role

We are looking for dynamic and result-oriented professionals to join our growing freight forwarding and logistics sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through freight forwarding, customs brokerage, transportation, warehousing, and end-to-end logistics solutions.
The candidate should possess strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills with the ability to achieve business targets and expand market presence within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking,
    references, and online platforms.
  • Generate and qualify leads from target industries for business conversion.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline within the assigned region.
  • Explore opportunities for market expansion and business growth.

Sales Presentations & Client Engagement

  • Conduct professional sales presentations to promote freight forwarding and logistics
    services.
  • Understand customer requirements and propose customized logistics solutions.
  • Promote services including air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, transportation,
    and warehousing.
  • Attend customer meetings and maintain regular client interactions.

Proposal Development & Pricing Coordination

  • Prepare competitive quotations, proposals, and commercial agreements.
  • Coordinate with pricing and operations teams to provide effective customer solutions.
  • Follow up on submitted proposals and respond promptly to customer queries.

Negotiation & Business Closure

  • Negotiate freight rates, pricing, and service agreements with customers.
  • Successfully close business opportunities and achieve monthly and annual sales
    targets.
  • Ensure profitability while maintaining competitive pricing strategies.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling logistics services.
  • Maintain long-term customer engagement and retention.

Sales Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, opportunities, and customer
    interactions.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports and updates for management review.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Share market intelligence and business opportunities with the sales team.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, logistics, and shipping services.
  • Good understanding of air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, and supply chain
    solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Result-oriented mindset with strong sales acumen.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve business targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 5–10 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales.
  • Proven experience in business development and customer acquisition.
  • Strong market exposure and customer network preferred.
  • Experience handling B2B logistics sales and freight solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management,
    or related field preferred.
